Nidus - Personal Planning Resource Centre and Registry
Nidus provides education on personal planning – making legal arrangements in case you need assistance with things such as paying bills or making health care decisions due to illness, injury or disability. The Nidus website contains optional forms for Representation Agreements, as well as information on Enduring Powers of Attorney and health care consent.

Parking Permit Program for People with Disabilities
A parking permit for people with disabilities ensures that when a person has mobility limitations, they can park in one of the designated parking spots throughout British Columbia.
Hope Air provides free flights to get low-income Canadians to specialized healthcare that is not available in their home communities.

Chess Club on Sunday between 2 and 4 pm.
Coffee Connections every second Thursday 10:30 - 12, join us for coffee and conversation. On alternate Thursdays (same time), bring your knitting needles or crochet hook and join the "Crochet Chatters & Knitter Knatters" for coffee, conversation AND knitting/crocheting blankets for various charities. (Yarn provided)

Off season discounts for seniors camping in BC Parks
The city has many activities of interest to seniors. Link leads to the City of Dawson Creek Event Calendar. You can also access Parks and Rec information on facilities like the Kenn Borek Aquatic Centre.
Many of the Gyms/Physio Therapy Centres in Dawson Creek also offer programs and activities that cater to Seniors.

Consumer Protection BC investigates consumer complaints, seeks redress for consumer who have been treated improperly by a business, and work with businesses to ensure they are complying with consumer protection laws in BC. Priority is given to complaints of obvious public interest that affect many individuals and involve significant losses or vulnerable and elderly victims.

BC Rebate for Accessible Home Alterations
Provides financial assistance to help eligible low-income seniors and people with disabilities in British Columbia to continue to live in the comfort of their home.
SAFER - Shelter Aid for Elderly Renters
Information on the SAFER program which provides cash reimbursement for rent paid to eligible BC residents (60 or over).
If you are 55 or older you may be able to apply to defer part or all of your property tax.

Department of Veterans Affairs
Veterans' Independence Program (VIP) provides housekeeping and/or grounds maintenance benefits to eligible low income or disables survivors of certain traditional war service Veterans.
Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments
OBSI resolves disputes between participating banking services and investment firms and their customers if they cannot solve them on their own.
